Atlassian Summit is the biggest yearly conference event run by the Australian software company, with customers and partners from all over the world attending. Once again, Barcelona is being a fantastic host city (3-5 September). Here are the highlights from the product keynote.
We were delighted to have the opportunity to interview Nick Muldoon and Teagan Harbridge from Easy Agile about two very useful Jira apps, as well as the GDPR and other very topical issues in the technology sector.
Companies are up to their necks in internal emails and they want a system that will alleviate the clutter. The Atlassian systems promise exactly that: to reduce the amount of internal email. However, at the same time, Confluence, Jira & Co. are not exactly squeamish when it comes to sending automated email notifications. At first glance, this may seem to be contradictory, but in fact, the questions above miss the main point, because it is not about fewer emails, but instead about less work time spent on email.

The annual Atlassian Summit is Atlassian’s major user and customer conference. From this year going forward, it will be held alternately at locations in the U.S.A. and Europe. From 3 to 5 September, Fira Barcelona Gran Via will open its doors to welcome around 1,500 customers, users and partners attending Summit Europe 2018.
WatchTower for JIRA by Rozdoum is an app to centralize Jira data. The tool pulls processes from multiple Jira instances (Cloud as well as Server) and presents them on a single Jira board, which can be organized as desired.
Atlassian doesn’t just offer Server and Cloud versions of its products Confluence, Jira, Jira Service Desk and Bitbucket. It also offers Data Center deployments. When does it make sense to purchase Server, and when would it be better to purchase Data Center?

According to Gartner, Atlassian offers a comprehensive solution for the implementation of agile as well as more traditional projects in that it has limited requirements for functions at the portfolio level.
With scripts, you can extensively customize Jira (screens, custom fields, and more), automate complex workflows, create custom listeners to react to specific events, and enhance Jira’s reporting and integration capabilities.
