Introduction to the possibilities of Git and Stash
We met Jens Schumacher (Group Product Manger Dev Tools) during our last visit to Atlassian in Sydney and talked with him about the use of Git within software development and Atlassian's Git repository management system Stash.
The interview introduces the functions that are offered by Git and Stash. Jens describes the fundamental differences between Subversion and Git and also explains from his own experiences, why it can take some time until a team adapts to the Git workflow. Furthermore, Jens talks about the reasons why Subversion (and therefore the Atlassian product FishEye/Crucible), is flourishing, despite the Git trend.
