The Data Center deployment option that was already available for JIRA was designed to meet the needs of large enterprise customers providing performance at scale, high availability and instant scalability.

Performance at Scale
Data Center increases capacity for concurrent users without sacrificing performance, and increases application throughput to avoid performance degradation in the event of load spikes.

High Availability
Should something happen to one of the application nodes, your users will failover over to a redundant node without interruption to service.

Instant Scalability
Instant Scalability allows you to add nodes without taking the system offline.
