Make client communication available inside Jira

Ready to break down the walls between clients in Gmail and developers in Jira?
Jigo helps developers working with customers in Gmail

Clients talk to you in Google Workspace, developers work in Jira

Communication with an external client is often happening in Gmail, but the developers are working in Jira. When details or a new request arrive in Gmail, the account manager has to manually copy & paste them into Jira so the development team has access to the information.

If the account manager wants to check on a Jira issue and reference the latest emails form the customer, she has to go back and forth between Gmail and Jira. Talk about frustration!

Jigo – Google Workspace for Jira lets you integrate Jira Software with Gmail, so you can quickly access the content of email from a Jira issue. By associating relevant emails from a client to a Jira issue, you have easy at-a-glance access to all the communications from the client for a specific task.

Developers are no longer locked out of the most recent messages just because the account manager has received them. In addition, developers are not required to participate in long email chains with the client, or the client required to learn how to use Jira.

Changing client requirements are difficult to discuss in Jira comments

Customer requests can be complex or change often; showing them a prototype can lead to revised feature requests or project scope as they get a more concrete idea of the final product. New requirements or a changing scope means you need to talk things out with multiple team members. But Jira comments are not the best place to have a long discussion.

With Jigo, you can create a chat from the Jira issue and include developers, designers, or anyone else needed to talk about the latest customer feedback. The chat is available right from the Jira issue so you can easily find the discussion the next time you need to pick it up. With the Chrome Browser extension, the Jira issue is linked in the Google Chat to easily get back to updating the task. Need some face to face time? You can schedule a Google Meet directly from a Jira issue using the Google Calendar integration with Jigo.

You need to create tasks in Jira directly from a client’s email

Clients are explaining their needs, making requests to change things, giving feedback, or even changing the project scope in their emails to you. Those requests need to be detailed in an issue and assigned to a developer. But there’s no native way to easily create Jira issues from Gmail.

Using the Google Workspace add-on or the Chrome browser plugin for Jigo, you can create Jira issues directly from Gmail. This way you don’t have to switch back and forth between tabs and copy and paste information from the email to create new Jira issues.
