Here’s what Data Protection and Security Toolkit can do
This app enables organizations to locate, manage, and anonymize sensitive data within Jira and Confluence to become GDPR compliant.
User anonymization
To comply with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), admins and security/compliance managers have to make sure there is no personal data in the system for people who are no longer part of the organization. Make sure to remove user’s names without loosing the content they created with the user anonymization feature.
Automatic threat response
It’s hard to control what kind of information users enter into Jira and Confluence. They might inadvertently or naively enter sensitive personal data, credit card information, login credentials, IP addresses etc. All of these represent a serious security risk. To have a way to surface and process such occurrences is essential to keep instances clean and worry-free.
Policy announcements
Jira and Confluence offer notification banners out of the box. But they are very limited and there is no way to create rich text push-style notifications with images, embedded videos, etc. Bypass this disadvantage by using the “Announcer” module inside the Data Protection and Security toolkit. Create custom messages that can reach a specific target audience within your instance. Collect feedback on acceptance and analyze the corresponding statistics.
