Sustainability is close to our heart

We aim to create a livable future for everyone. Sustainability is one of our core company values—and we actively put it into practice.

Because we love a green future

We firmly believe that sustainable action makes sense—ecologically, economically, and socially. With our knowledge and commitment, we aim not only to inspire and educate, but also to go beyond legal requirements—for the environment, for society, and for our network. We strive for consistent and holistic sustainability management and hope to serve as a role model for other companies.

Our Engagement

We are aware of our responsibility toward the environment, the climate, and society—especially as an IT service provider with increased energy demands. That’s why we’re committed to sustainability on many levels and put our values into tangible actions.

Ökoprofit

Since 2020, our environmental management has been guided by the ÖKOPROFIT program. In 2024/2025, we are participating for the third time—our second time as part of the ÖKOPROFIT Club. Through ÖKOPROFIT, we collect key data on energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and waste, allowing us to continuously update this information and systematically reduce our environmental impact. At the same time, we promote environmental awareness among our employees. ÖKOPROFIT also encourages exchange with other companies, enabling us to benefit from shared experiences and best practices.

Ecovadis

In 2024, we underwent a sustainability assessment by EcoVadis. With this rating, we aim to increase transparency, strengthen trust in our commitment, and demonstrate how our sustainability performance compares to other companies. EcoVadis evaluates criteria such as environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. We are proud to be among the top 35% of all rated companies—and to have been awarded the Bronze Medal for our efforts.

Sustainability Report in accordance with GRI

Since 2022, we have been reporting on our sustainability strategy and goals in line with the GRI standards—to ensure clear and transparent communication. Each year, our report highlights non-financial topics at Seibert, structured around the three ESG pillars: Environment, Social, and Governance. We share our key performance indicators not out of obligation, but from a genuine internal commitment to sustainability.

GHG Emissions Inventory in accordance with the GHG Protocol

Since 2021, we have been calculating our greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol standard, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. This enables us to identify our emission sources and contribute to greater comparability through a consistent methodology. The 2022 emissions inventory serves as the foundation for our climate strategy and our net-zero targets.

Our green initiatives

Better go get the carrots!

With our sustainability game, our employees turn small actions into big achievements. Every climate-friendly decision is rewarded with virtual carrots—making sustainability a shared, playful experience.

Seibert-Acker

Our Seibert garden in Wiesbaden-Naurod is more than just a plot of land. Together, we grow vegetables and flowers and take care of our beehives—doing our part to preserve biodiversity.

Rhine CleanUp

Every year, we take part in Rhine Clean Up Day to help clear litter from the shores of the Rhine river. Together with many other volunteers, we show that environmental protection starts right on our doorstep.

Network and Partner

We are actively involved in networks for sustainability and climate protection to share valuable experiences and knowledge. This exchange helps us grow as a company. At the same time, we work closely with our partners to continuously improve our sustainability performance.

CSR Regio.net

Since 2022, we have been participating in CSR Regio.net Wiesbaden. The main focus of this initiative is responsible corporate governance. We are actively engaging with this topic and working to systematically integrate social aspects into all areas of our business activities. At the heart of the network is the exchange of knowledge and experiences on current sustainability topics related to the workplace.

LFCA

Since 2024, we have been part of Leaders for Climate Action, an international network of committed tech companies working to combat climate change. This network provides a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practices in climate protection and promotes collective action to reduce CO₂ emissions. It also offers recognized training programs on sustainability reporting, strategy development, and digital sustainability.

Code Gaia

Since 2022, we have been collaborating with Code Gaia. Their software supports us in greenhouse gas accounting, double materiality analysis, and compliant sustainability reporting.

ForTomorrow

ForTomorrow is a non-profit climate protection organization. Through ForTomorrow, we offset our emissions under the EU Emissions Trading System, aiming both to reduce emission certificates for major emitters in Europe and to promote reforestation efforts that absorb greenhouse gases.
